Infrastructure


The University has received support of Four Crore Rupees under Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme on recommendations of Hon'ble Ex-Member of Parliament Shri R.P. Goenka, for establishing the Center. The first phase of Centre's new building is near completion. It has specifically been designed to meet the requirements of Converging Technologies research and education activities. It will have fully networked, well-furnished, air-conditioned, dust and germ free research labs and activity rooms. It will have a seminar hall with a capacity of 200 persons equipped with multimedia presentation tools. It will have Smart Class rooms equipped with Interactive Board/Panel, PRS and Training Pad for fully interactive technology assisted teaching. A State of the Art research infrastructure is being created with assistance from various funding agencies and through public private partnership. Hon'ble Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has kindly announced in the budget speech allocation of Rs. 2 crore to center as one to one matching grant. The center tre houses BIF facilities supported by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The center has submitted multidisciplinary research proposals to funding agencies. The Centre has an MoU for research collaborations, faculty and student exchange with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Melbourne, Australia. The Centre plans to collaborate with leading International Universities and Research Institutes to foster research in Converging Technologies.
